About Wrinkles/Anti-Aging

The President of Longview Farms and a world renowned leader in skin-care, and anti-aging theories and treatments, Dr. Peter T. Pugliese, of Reading, PA, became friends and spent many hours together discussing the benefits of Emu oil.

Although Peter was greatly recognized for his Academic role in Aesthetics Teaching and Author/Creator of College teaching books, he was more at ease in his testing laboratory working on solutions to slow the effects of aging. While in his laboratory studies, he realized a need for and invented a device that could detect and measure the density of “collogen” cells. Billons and billons of these collogen cells act as a buffer between our muscles and our dermis (skin). Beyond acting as a buffer, the primary function of these collagen cells is to support and maintain the outward conformity and smoothness of the entire dermis.

The use of Peter’s studies and invention proved essential in determining why aging people develop skin wrinkles and the benefit of using a then little know product named Emu oil.

As a natural stage of aging, coupled with exposure to weather conditions around us, our entire dermis starts to become drier and somewhat brittle, thereby requiring more added moisture and nutrition. Without constantly adding more moisture and nutrition, this situation causes the skin cells to die off and as a group. When that happens they contract, which develop wrinkles on the surface of the dermis. At this point, it becomes more difficult for the collagen cells to maintain conformity on the surface of the dermis.

For the same reasons that the dermis cells contracted (decline of moisture and nutrition), this situation is exasperated by millions of cells of collagen, located beneath the dermis, also dying off and contracting. The end results are unavoidable, additional deeper wrinkles.

In studying and analyzing Emu oil, Peter immediately recognized the unique and critical alignment of the A-B-C triglyceride molecules. And he became acutely aware of the hypoallergenic, all-natural, anti-inflammatory nutritional values that Emu oil can use to stop the dying of collagen.

Sadly, at the young age of 94, Peter has passed and he is greatly missed. David Long and Longview Farms lost a true friend and mentor.
